The aspiration for the PIFpack collection was to create a backpack that holds all the necessary materials and tools for a week-long project. The final design is based on a single rectangular sheet of material that folds, zips and fastens to form an open box bag. The bag unfastens, unzips and unfolds into a wall-hanging tool organizer.
When closed it is compact and comfortable for carrying. When fully expanded, the design maximizes use of the bag’s surface. Offering storage space and different tool access options. The choice and layout of elements such as pockets, pouches, loops, rings, wire and thread racks can be customized by the maker to fit the specific needs of their practice.
The shape of the rectangle determines the dimensions of the bag. Depending on the placement of the straps, these bags can be carried as backpacks, shoulder bags, handbags, waistbags.
